March Updates: Hello, Spring Equinox!

Hello friends!

We’ve been excited for the spring equinox since New Year’s! In some cultures, spring is when intentions are set for the rest of the year because this is when the ground is fertile for planting and the sun’s energy is returning. When the spring equinox arrives on 3/19, the dark and light will be in balance and daylight will begin to outpace the darkness again. For many people, this is a time of increased energy and motivation. We invite you to lean into this energy of growth and expansion—and of grounding into the earth.

3/22/24-3/24/24 Women’s Spring Equinox Retreat at Ananda in Nevada City—We still have room for you!

4/6/24 1-3PM: Spring Nature Hike + Circle in Pilot Hill

Our theme for March is planting seeds for the future and we’ll be hosting mindful movement + meditation at H Ō M E Studio Placerville on Fri, 3/15 from 6-7:30 PM. We’ll begin with gentle movement and follow with a guided meditation focused on intention setting for summer and fall. No sign-up, just show up—$15-$30 donation, but don’t let money stop you from coming. Bring a journal and a tea cup for social time afterwards.

We’re also hosting our first Zoom offering—a spring equinox meditation on Tuesday, March 19 at 7PM. We’ll focus on the body’s energy centers and welcome in the returning light of the sun. We invite you to set your space with candles, bring a journal, and carve out some quiet time in the peace of your own home to connect with us. This is a free community offering. Contact for link.

Also, we have space left for our Women’s Spring Equinox Retreat at Ananda in Nevada City on March 22-24. If you’ve been thinking about joining us, now is the time to sign up! We are so excited for this offering—there will be restorative opportunities for connection to self and community. We will plant seeds for the future, it’s going to be beautiful. Get in touch for more details.

And, we’re thrilled to offer a co-ed spring nature hike + circle on Saturday, April 6 from 1PM-3PM in Pilot Hill. We’ll hike to a small meadow where we’ll hold a circle with connection to nature and community. We’ll ground, play, journal, move gently, and meditate. Be prepared to hike up a small grade to reach our gathering place. Suggested energy exchange is $20. Reach out for sign-up.

Last of all, a big thank you to everyone who came out for our Mindful Movement + Meditation in February. It filled our cup to practice with you. We hope to see you again on March 15!
