January Updates: Embracing Winter’s Rest

Hello Friends,

We hope your holidays were full of love and light—and, if they also had a heavier component, we hope you found some peace.

Our first Winter Solstice Lantern walk was lovely. We found the quiet moment in the storms, where everything held still, and we watched the light fade on the darkest day of the year.

Now, as the light slowly returns a bit more each day, we invite you to continue to lean into winter’s stillness. There will be plenty of time for acting on goals as the sun more fully returns in the spring, but for now, nature is still inviting you to draw inward, reflect, and recharge.

In celebration of this inward call, here are this month’s offerings:

Mindful Movement + Meditation: Winter’s Deep Rest, Friday, January 24, 6-8PM: Join us at HOME Studio in Placerville for a candlelit evening of slow and intuitive movement, meditation, journaling, and community. We’ll lean into winter’s energy of hibernation and self-care to ground and recharge. Bring a journal and a yoga mat. $20 sign up online.

January Free Zoom Meditation: Feel Your Own Ocean, Thursday, January 9, 7:30-8PM: Join Olivia for a free community offering on Zoom. Reach out with your email address for the invite. We’ll dive into our own oceans for peace, soothing, and connection back to self. We’ll energetically detach from anything we picked up over the holidays that isn’t ours and tune back into ourselves. This practice is inspired by Caroline Myss’ Anatomy of the Spirit and the process of detaching from any external drains on our energy systems.

Vinyasa Yoga w/ Carlie at HOME Studio, Sundays, 9-10:15AM: This class is fluid in form and guided by the song that is your breath. It is designed to get you out of your head & help align your body, heart & mind—which is perfect for grounding into winter.

Happy 2025,

Olivia & Carlie
