April Updates: Kids’ Mindfulness Night, Spring Hike, Midsummer Retreat + More!

Happy Official Start to Spring!

While the weather may still be temperamental, the light is extending each day and the energy of spring is officially here. It’s time to ground, clear, and watch as the seeds begin to reach towards the light and bloom. Speaking of blooming, we were so honored to have a full house for our Spring Equinox Burn to Bloom offering on 3/21. Everyone brought such beautifully expansive and reflective energy.

Parents Night Out—Kids Mindfulness Evening, Friday, April 11, 5:30-7:30PM, HŌME Studio Placerville: Drop kids off for yoga, mindfulness circle games, and more! Enjoy dinner or other time away while kids get their own social and self-care night. Best of all, pick them up all ready for bedtime after their savasana with lavender foot rubs.

Both Carlie and Olivia have experience working with children—Carlie has taught kids yoga and Olivia has been a credentialed K-8 teacher since 2011. And, their kids will be present as “ambassadors” for this fun mindfulness evening.

Please send a lunchbox dinner. Additional allergen-friendly snacks will be provided. Ages 6+ (kids under 6 attending with older siblings may be okay—please reach out to discuss). Jammies encouraged—we can’t wait! $38/child, reach out for multiple sibling discount, sign-up online.

Spring Nature Hike, April 26, 12PM meet at Argonaut: Coffee + Provisions in Coloma. Come celebrate the beauty of spring wildflowers with us with a free community hike. We’ll walk a little over 3 miles, starting in Coloma and crossing onto the other side of the bridge towards Mt. Murphy. With any luck, we’ll see beautiful wildflowers and make it to Dutch Creek and Johntown Falls. This is a moderate hike with some elevation gain. Let us know if you’re coming so we can keep you in the loop! Arrive early if you’d like to enjoy the newly updated Argonaut before our hike. All are welcome—this is a free community offering.

Women’s Midsummer Retreat, Harbin Hot Springs, June 28-29: Midsummer is celebrated in festivals throughout Europe in honor of the summer solstice—the longest day of the year—and we can’t wait to share this energetically potent time together.

We’ll spend all day Saturday through noon on Sunday enjoying Harbin’s healing waters and sauna, doing yoga, meditating and honoring both the sun and the moon with our practice. We’ll soak, we’ll journal, and we’ll be lulled into a state of deep relaxation with an afternoon sound bath by special guest Becca Detwiler. In the evening, we’ll gather together in a women’s circle under the magic of the stars.

This is the perfect opportunity to recharge with summer’s strong solar energy and pause for both reflection and connection. Spots are filling quickly, reach out to save yours! More details here.

Ground & Clear for Spring Meditation, April 10, 7:30PM, ZOOM: Join Olivia for this free community offering. We’ll focus on grounding with strong roots, clearing our energy fields, and bringing in the light for new ideas to grow this spring and summer. Reach out if you’d like to be added to the Zoom invite (if you’re on the list from previous Zoom meditations, no need to reach out!).
