seed + sage is the vision of two mom friends who live out in the country, just down the road from each other, who realized one day that they share a common dream—to bring people together through retreats, classes, and workshops in Northern California to experience mindfulness, embodiment, and opportunities for deeper connection to self and community.
Seed represents this desire for continual replanting, rebirth, and growth while sage reflects the wisdom of this medicinal plant used ceremonially for cleansing in sacred circles throughout time. Thus, seed + sage is the manifestation of a collective dream held by two women. It’s the birth of a mindful community of support and self-development.
Our hope is that you’ll join us at one of our events—whether it’s a class, a workshop, or a retreat, we invite you to slow down, dig in, and cultivate joy on this human journey together.

Meet Carlie
Carlie Stewart is a wife and mom to two daughters. She lives with her family on their dream property—land which has been in the family for generations. In fact, her girls are the fifth generation to call this magical space home. Getting her hands dirty in the garden, tending to their animals, working on projects and homeschooling keeps her heart full and life busy.

Carlie took her first yoga class in 2014. She immediately fell in love with asana (physical practice of postures) and quickly began to explore yoga beyond the mat. With a 200hr YTT program, and accumulating continuing education regularly, she is a dedicated student first to this practice. She also teaches classes regularly at two popular local studios and is beloved by her students.
Carlie is passionate about yoga and holds deep reverence for the yoga philosophy. She is playful and fun but deeply devoted to the work, the practice, and the depth of this beautiful journey. She holds space and encourages her students to release all expectations and let yoga do the work. She especially enjoys leading retreats and is excited to share her passions with you!
Meet Olivia
Olivia O’Bryon Mackey (OM for short!) moves through the world like a hummingbird—guided by curiosity, devotion, and an innate knowing that all paths ultimately lead back to connection and community. She teaches for a K–12 independent study charter school and holds a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction, yet her deepest education has come through listening: to the body, to the breath, and to the subtle language of the nervous system.

Her journey with mindfulness began in 2010 while teaching in an economically disadvantaged classroom, where she discovered meditation as both a refuge and a bridge—one that gently opened children (and herself) to presence, safety, and possibility. What began as curriculum soon became a calling, weaving its way into guided meditation, somatic awareness, and intuitive movement.
Olivia’s personal practice is the wellspring of her work. Through years of devotion, she experienced a quiet unraveling of chronic health challenges, affirming her belief in the body’s innate intelligence and capacity to heal. Her path has been illuminated by the teachings of Dr. Joe Dispenza, Caroline Myss, HeartMath, and Dr. Zach Bush. She has attended multiple weeklong advanced retreats with Dr. Joe Dispenza and lovingly points others toward his work as a catalyst for transformation. Her somatic training through The Embody Lab (SSR Levels I, II, and III) has deepened her ability to guide people home to themselves through sensation, intuition, and embodied awareness. And, somatic dance—especially in her unfolding 5Rhythms practice—has become a vital prayer in motion on her own ongoing journey.
Olivia is a gateway to meditation and transformation. Her constantly evolving work can be sampled on Insight Timer. Her presence is gentle and spacious, devoted to creating a safe, regulated container where the nervous system can soften and the soul can speak. While shaped by many teachers, lineages, programs and trainings, her offerings are uniquely her own—channeled through lived experience, collective wisdom, and a deep trust in what unfolds when we listen.
